Early antique black and white engraved strip road map showing part of the road from London to Barwick, specifically the road between Chester-le-Street and Barwick, as split into six parts. The road goes through Newcastle and Tunston Castle, among others. This is sheet five of a five sheet series, however we do not have sheets one or four. For sheets two and three, see TOW521 and TOW522. Published by the London Magazine, c. 1767. Includes illustrated topographical details, houses, churches, cities, etc. Very good overall antique condition with mild toning, some light spots. The sheet measures approximately 5 x 8 (H x W).
