Antique hand-colored map from the Atlas of Norfolk County Massachusetts, From Recent and Actual Surveys & Records, under the Superintendence of W.A. Sherman. This map includes what is now Wellesley. On October 23, 1880, West Needham residents voted to secede from Needham, and the town of Wellesley was incorporated in 1881. Good antique condition, with some mild spots and image transfer, some small tears at the paper edges. Measures approx. 16 x 25 inches to the neatline.
