Antique railroad map showing the coast of Maine around Mount Desert Island by Rand Avery Supply Co., published in Down East Latch Strings in 1887. This map covers the coast from Rockland to Gouldsborough with Vinalhavevn, Deer Isle, Islesborough, Blue Hill, Belfast, and more. This map shows the many steamer routes of the area and the connecting railroads. Original printed color. Decorative title in the lower right. With folds as issued. Very good antique condition with mild toning, minor wear at edges and fold intersections. Some creasing and a tear on the left side into the map. On light weight paper that is quite fragile. Measures approx. 15 x 22.25 inches to the neatline.
