World War 2 era map of the coastal area around Chatham and Monomoy, MA, published by the War Department and Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army, 1942. This map shows the Nantucket Sound coast from Yarmouth to Chatham, including Dennis and Harwich, including Route 28, the railroad (the Chatham portion had ceased operation at this time), a wind diagram, an inset map showing the wider coastal area from Long Island to Boston. Stage Harbor in Chatham, Massachusetts, was primarily used as a staging area for military vessels during World War II. Very good antique condition with three vertical folds as issued. Measures approx. 6.5 x 10.25 inches to the neatline.
