Antique map of the United States of America showing the average dates of the last killing frost in Spring, by William Gardner Reed, Charles Franklin Brooks, and F.J. Marschner, published by E.L.D. Seymour in 1916. Includes four smaller maps of the US: First Killing Frost in Fall 1914, Number of Days without Killing Frost in 1914, Percentage of Annual Precipitation occurring between April 1 and Sept 30, and Average Date of First Snowfall in Autumn. This folding map was issued in a paper cover that highlights the "6 beautiful aquatone colors by the famous offset process." The back side has "valuable quick reference tables" for planting dates, spacing, and more, as well as other tips and information for green thumbs. A beautiful and fascinating map with a lot of interesting info! Very good antique condition with some minor wear along the folds. Measures approx. 24 x 25 inches.
