Antique map of the northeast portion of North America, from Virginia to the Canadian Maritimes and interior Canada. This is Champlain's 1632 map, as reproduced by Pease for the "Documentary History of New York," published in 1850. Includes the Great Lakes, a very large Lake Champlain, some notes on Native American settlements, tiny illustrations of mountains, trees, farms, houses, churches, as well as interesting sea monsters and ships.   Good to very good overall antique condition with some mild foxing. Could be restored for an additional cost. Measures approx. 10.25 x 17.25 inches to the neatline.
