It was originally issued in 42 cahiers of 24 hand-colored plates each, with no accompanying text or titles, resulting in 1008 plates. The book included carefully detailed prints of birds from around the world. Original hand-coloring. Very good condition with some minor waviness\/wrinkles in the antique paper. Copper plate print on laid paper.
