Black and white engraved antique map of New York by Samuel Lewis, 1795 from the Carey atlas. Unusual detail of water bodies, some landforms and routes, cities and towns, also Lake Champlain is well shown. Includes New York City, Manhattan, Long Island, and more. This map has been restored, cleaned, de-acidified and backed. Map has signs of repaired tears, a repaired seam separation, and some light staining near Poughkeepsie. Overall it is in good condition. Measures approx. 16 x 20 inches. **SOLD**
