Genuine Antique Hand Colored Map

Maker: Beers.

Antique hand colored map of the Village of Woodbury, Connecticut, from F.W. Beers' County Atlas of Litchfield, 1874, showing named roads, railroads, property owners, schools, churches, cemeteries, and businesses of this town center; unusual for a New England town, Woodbury has no central town green but instead a lengthy mile-long Main Street on which many present-day landmarks can be found on this map: King Solomon's Lodge Masonic Hall, the First Congregational Church, and the town's first Town Hall; smaller separate maps of the Villages of Hotchkissville and Pomperaug. Very good antique condition with overall toning, measures approx. 21.5 x 14 inches. **SOLD**
