Shipping policy

Shipping: We offer shipping through USPS Priority and also UPS. All shipments are insured. Shipping within the US generally costs $10-$20 depending on the size, weight, insurance, and distance to travel. If we discover that the actual cost of shipping is notably lower than the amount paid by the customer, we are happy to refund the difference.

International orders will be quoted separately, but often cost around $40-50 or more if additional insurance is required. It is possible to ship for less, around $25-$35, if using a slower service without insurance. If the customer chooses a shipping method that does not include insurance, they are acknowledging and accepting the risk that the item could be damaged during shipping and neither Maps of Antiquity or the shipping company can be held accountable. International shipments may be subject to customs, duties, or taxes. We do not know what those might be and they are not included in the cost of shipping. You may be responsible for paying those amounts before you can take possession of your item. We are unable to ship to Great Britain at this time due to the new tax rules.

Framed items may require additional shipping and we are happy to calculate a personalize shipping quote for framed items- just contact us. Some framed, specialty, and extra large items may be shipped through an independent shipper. We will make the arrangements and finalize them with you prior to shipping. 

Sales Tax: There is 6.25% sales tax for shipments to Massachusetts. 

Orders are normally processed within 24-48 hours of order receipt.  

Note that the price you pay for shipping covers for part of the cost of packaging, shipping and insurance. We do not earn a profit from shipping to you.
