Antique map of Africa from Guthrie's Geography, 1789. Much of the middle of the African continent hadn't been thoroughly explored and mapped by Europeans at this time, so the information in the middle of the continent is likely based on hearsay and speculative cartography. Lake Victoria was not known. Very good condition with some image transfer from the opposite page. Folds as issued. Measures approx. 7.25 x 8.75 inches to the neatline.
