Early engraved Antique hand colored map of Africa, in French, showing northwestern Africa in the mid-17th century, including "Le Saara, ou Desert, Le Pays des Negres, La Guinee," beautifully engraved and delicately colored, with mountain ranges, rivers, the Canary Islands and the Tropic of Cancer clearly marked. Cartouche in scrolling design, identifying Sanson d'Abbeville as geographer to the king. Very good condition with only minor toning and a few tiny spots, measures approximately 13.5 x 21.5 inches. **NOTE- because this map requires extra insurance for shipping, an additional charge will appear on your card after your original purchase.
