Early engraved Antique hand colored map of Africa, in French, showing northwestern Africa in the mid-17th century, including "Le Saara, ou Desert, Le Pays des Negres, La Guinee," beautifully engraved and delicately colored, with mountain ranges, rivers, the Canary Islands and the Tropic of Cancer clearly marked. Cartouche in scrolling design, identifying Sanson d'Abbeville as geographer to the king.
