Antique hand colored maps from Mitchell's 1884 New General Atlas. The Centerfold map shows the Caribbean and Central America, colored by country, showing railways, political boundaries, cities, water bodies, as well as land features. Includes inset maps of the Bermuda Islands, Jamaica, and three maps relating to the proposed canals in Panama and Nicaragua. On the back side is a map of Alaska on one side, and a map of Cuba on the other side. This map is in very good antique condition with minor overall toning. Paper is a bit fragile. Centerfold map measures approximately 14.25 x 21 inches to the outer neatline. Alaska map measures approx. 11.5 x 14 inches to the outer neatline. Cuba map measures approx. 11 x 14 inches to the outer neatline. Each back side map can be purchased separately for $95
