Antique printed color map of Alaska to accompany the Annual Report of the Governor, 1917. This map was engraved and printed by the US Geological Survey and it shows army, navy, and commercial radio stations, telegraph lines and offices, national forests, bird reservations, and miscellaneous Government reservations. Telegraph data continues into Yukon Territory and British Columbia. Inset of the Aleutian Islands. This is a fascinating early communications map published in the middle of World War I. With folds as issued. Very good condition with mild toning and some slight seam separation. Measures approx. 16.75 x 23.75 inches to the neatline.
