Antique uncolored map of the Niagara Falls area including the Great Island, Fort Niagara, and more. This map is an 1849 R.H. Pease copy/re-engraving of an 18th century George Dember map. This map was published in the Documentary History of the State of New York of 1849. Also shows the location of Prideaux's Landing on July 6th 1759, Duncans House, and the Road of the Carrying Place with its posts and landings along the shore. Good condition with mild toning, some minor spots and foxing. Folded as issued. Approx. 8 x 16 inches to the neatline.
