High quality giclee print of probably the earliest map of the town of Wellfleet, MA, 1795 by Gunter Seale(?), James Waterman, Lewis Hamlin, Committee for the Town of Wellfleet. Shows roads, ponds, islands, bays, windmills, the meeting house. Shows a watermill at the current Mass Audubon property at Lieutenants Island and Horseshoe Harbor at Billingsgate Island. Outer beach is labeled "barren lands". A fascinating glimpse into Old Cape Cod. This image has been slightly retouched but many of the antique map's imperfections remain visible in the image. We can further reduce the imperfections on request for an additional cost. Measures approx. 19.5"h x 15.75"w to the edges of the printed area. The white paper extends beyond these measurements and can be trimmed off if desired.
