Black and white engraved antique nautical sailing chart of the English Channel, from Nicolas Tindal's continuation of Rapin de Thoyras "The History of England", vol. III, London, 1745. The chart is by R. W. Seale in the "portalano" style, emphasizing coastal features. With insets of Isles of Scilly, Falmouth Haven, Plymouth Sound, and the Isle of Wight and adjacent Harbours. Copper plate engraved map. Very good overall antique condition, 15 x 18.75 inches.
