Antique chart of part of South America by John Seller, c. 1675. This chart shows Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Tierra del Fuego, Patagonia, etc. It contains a dedication to Sir John Narbrough, who voyaged through the Straits of Magellan in 1670. Rhumb lines throughout. Decorative cartouche is meant to show the native peoples of South America. Good condition with some foxing/toning that is darker in some areas and lighter in others, but still generally mild. Vibrant hand-coloring. Lacking margin at top. Measures approx. 17 x 20.75 inches to the neatline.
