At bottom is a dedication: "To ye Honorable John Granville Second Son to ye Right Honourable John Earle of Bath &ca. This Plate is humbly Dedicated by Richard Blome." From an illustration by G. Freman and engraved by J. Kip. Published in An Entire Body of Philosophy According to the Principles of the Famous Renate Des Cartes by Descartes and Le Grand, 1694. This is a comprehensive English translation of Antoine Le Grand's Cartesian system, edited by Richard Blome. Copper plate engraving on laid paper. Subtle hand-coloring.
