Antique hand colored map of part of Germany. Original map was by Mercator, then Hondius bought Mercator's map plates in 1604 and added new plates of his own, later the plates were re-engraved in miniature and published in a pocket atlas. This map was published in 1651. Shows the north-central coast area and includes the cities of Lubeck, Luneberg, Wolfsberg, Rathenow, Greifswald, and more. Good condition with overall toning, some staining, mostly in margins. Approx. 5.75 x 8 inches to the neatline.
