Antique black and white illustration of the "New Iron Pier" at West Brighton Beach, Coney Island, New York, with illustrated beach scenes around the top. Published by Harper's Weekly on August 9th, 1879. Good to very good overall antique condition with mild toning and some minor wrinkling throughout, as well as some mild areas of foxing (mainly outside the neatline.) Measures approximately 9.25" x 14" (H x W) to the neatline. Please note: if the sky/sea in this print appears to be wavy or strange, that phenomenon is called scaling errors and occurs when the image is resized by a particular application for display on a particular size screen or print. If you use the white zoom bar under the image you can see that this distortion is not in the antique print.
