Antique print depicting the insurrection of 10 August 1792, a defining event of the French Revolution, when armed revolutionaries in Paris, increasingly in conflict with the French monarchy, stormed the Tuileries Palace. The conflict led France to abolish the monarchy and establish a republic. This dramatic scene depicts, as the title says in Dutch, "The Violence of the 10th of August." Good antique condition with some mild surface soil and slight stains/spots. Measures approx. 6 x 8.5 inches to the border lines.
