Antique black & white engraving print from "Europe Illustrated: its Picturesque Scenes and Places of Note" published by The London Printing and Publishing Company, 1875.. Shows a view of the Pyrenees mountains and waterfalls in the Cirque de Gavarnie overlooking houses in the town of Gavarnie, figures and livestock in foreground. The immense geological amphiteatre was decribed by Victor Hugo as "The Colosseum of Nature" and is the site of Roland's Breach. Good condition, approximately 9" x 12.5" to the paper edges
