Hand colored antique print showing a view of Profile Mountain (also called The Old Man of the Mountain, or Great Stone Face), in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Recent hand coloring. Image is in very good condition with some mild toning/foxing of the paper. From William Cullen Bryant's classic 1872 work, "Picturesque America." Image measures approximately 9" x 4". Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
