Antique hand colored wall map of Norfolk County, Massachusetts, by Henry F. Walling, 1853. This map shows Norfolk County, including Cohasset, which is not attached to any other town in the county. This map also shows Boston before some of the fill, and with the old delineations of Roxbury. This also shows how Brookline was once connected to the rest of Norfolk county, although now it is not attached. Two inset maps show the Plan of Dedham Village and the Plan of the City of Roxbury. In this map, Roxbury consisted of areas that we now known as part of Boston. Very good condition, restored, rebacked and some cracking in the paper was repaired. Surface varnish was not removed because of very good original surface. Some tear repairs at the top. Original color. Original rods. Approx. 29.5 x 43 inches at its largest measurements. Approx 26.25 x 37.25 inches to the neatline. **NOTE- because this map requires extra insurance for shipping, an additional charge will appear on your card after your original purchase. If you would like to know what that charge will be, please contact us.**
