Antique print of the Astor House in NYC in 1840, by Bartlett. The Astor House was a luxury hotel in New York City. Located on the corner of Broadway and Vesey Street in what is now the Civic Center and Tribeca neighborhoods of Lower Manhattan, it opened in 1836 and soon became the best-known hotel in America. Part of it was demolished in 1913; the rest was demolished in 1926. Original hand-coloring. Very good antique condition, some minor tiny spots. Matted, although mat may not be archival. Measures approx. 4.25 x 6 inches to the image edges and 8 x 10 inches total with mat.
