Antique uncolored print of the Smithville Seminary in North Scituate, Rhode Island. This building was later renamed the Lapham Institute, it is now an apartment building called the Scituate Commons, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This page is from the Family Magazine, published in either 1839 or 1843 (there is some ambiguity as to which date is correct). Good antique condition with toning, text from reverse side visible. Print measures approximately 2.75 x 4.75 inches to the border line, sheet measures 10.5 x 6.5 inches.
