Antique black & white engraving print by maker Robert Brown published in Countries of The World Vol. 3-4, shows a view of Lake Rotomahana and its steaming cliffs in the distance, New Zealand. The Pink and white terraces of rock which formed the sides were once considered to be the eighth wonder of the world before a volcanic eruption wiped out all traces of them in 1886. Good condition, approximately 7.5" x 10" to the paper edges.
