Antique hand-colored coastal report chart of Nantucket and Nantucket Shoals from surveys conducted from 1846-52 by Lts. Charles H. Davis and Charles H. McBlair, U.S. Navy. Including bathymetric readings, bearings and distances, detailed tidal information and other contemporary notations. Published by the United States Coast Survey, 1853. Very good overall antique condition with mild toning throughout, which is darker at the folds, some tiny spots, small piece of tape on back at fold intersection. Measures approximately 17.25" x 19.25" to the neatline.
