Genuine Antique Black & White Engraving

1839

Maker: Bartlett/Virtue

Antique print showing a scenic view of the city of Boston, Massachusetts, with the Bunker Hill Monument in view. Published in American Scenery Volume 2, by George Virtue, 1839. Good overall antique condition with mild toning of the paper and areas of slightly darker toning in the sky of the image. Image measures approx. 5 x 7 inches and the page measures approximately 6.75 x 10.25 overall. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.

Could be hand-colored by our professional colorist for an additional $80. For an example, click here.
