Antique map of Boston by S. Augustus Mitchell, circa 1862. This map shows the planned fill of Back Bay, but the project was only beginning, the roads in that area are theoretical and unnamed. Includes an inset map of the "Country Around Boston showing also its Harbor & Islands." Shows streets, railroads, bridges, public buildings, etc. Very good antique condition, with some small spots mostly in margins. Measures approx. 11 x 9.25 inches to the outside of the decorative border.
