Antique hand-colored map from the Atlas of the County of Suffolk, Massachusetts. Vol. 3rd including South Boston and Dorchester published by G.M. Hopkins & Co. in 1874. This map shows part of South Boston as it was in 1874 with property owners' names and businesses labeled. Includes Telegraph Hill Reservoir (Dorchester Heights Monumentnow a park with Dorchester Heights Monument), Perkins Institute for the Blind, First Street to Sixth Street, and H Street to E Street. Original hand-coloring. Very good condition with mild toning that is darker at the paper edges, some tiny spots. Measures approx. 15 x 24 inches to the neatline.
