1840
Maker: Barber.
Antique engraved illustration of a view of Charlestown (Boston, MA,) as seen "from the burying-ground on Copp's Hill." Includes a few sentences of text below the image, detailing what is seen from this view (e.g. Bunker Hill Monument, in its unfinished state, etc.) Recent hand coloring. Published by Barber, 1840. The blue color of the sky is not shown well in the image and all colors are a bit more saturated in real life. Very good condition with slight toning at the paper edges. Image measures approximately 3.25" x 6.25" without text. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
