Antique map of a survey line from the Rio Grande to St. Johns, AZ. It includes Alamosa, the Continental Divide, a Salt Lake ( perhaps Theodore Roosevelt Lake), with numbers along the route that correspond to the chart of elevation at bottom. This map was published in 1879 in the Annual Report upon the Geographical Surveys of the Territory of the United States West of the 100th Meridian... by George M. Wheeler, US Army Corps of Engineers. Very good antique condition with some minor signs of age. Folds as issued. Measures approx. 7.75 x 43.25 inches to the neatline.
