This antique hand-colored map from Mitchell's 1868 New General Atlas shows countries, major cities/towns, water bodies, land and coastal features, and railroads. States in the US are not marked but Territories and new States are given larger lettering (Texas, Florida, California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas). Greenland is Danish America, Canada is British America, and Alaska is Russian America. This map is in good to very good antique condition with minimal overall toning. A few small stains. It measures approximately 13.5 x 11 inches.
