Antique celestial map from Burritt's Atlas, Designed to Illustrate The Geography of the Heavens, 1835. The annual passage of the earth, through the heavens over the course of a year. Includes constellations, the Milky Way, and the Ecliptic line. The ecliptic is the imaginary line in the sky representing the Sun's apparent yearly path through the zodiac constellations, resulting from Earth’s orbit around it. Measures approx. 14 x 20.25 inches to the neatline. Original hand-coloring.
Currently available in Very good condition or Good condition. Very good antique condition with minor toning, some mild spots in the margins. Good antique condition with some tiny spots, some image transfer aka ghosting in the image, and some toning. Signs of age in the margins can be hidden with a mat when framing.
