Antique hand colored "Hold-to-Light" celestial map published in the Astronomischer Bilder Atlas, by Wilhelm Nitzschke, 1851. Written in German. "Hold To Light" maps as this have cut outs with filmy paper behind them so that when you hold them to the light, the planets and their moons shine. Both decorative and informative, these types of maps can be custom framed by us with glass on both sides for the light to shine through them. Very good overall antique condition with some mild toning and foxing throughout. Page measures approximately 9.25" x 11.5" (H x W) overall.
