Antique black and white map from the "Atlas Encyclopedique" by Bonne, 1787. Includes the Great Lakes, Hudson Bay, and early depictions of Lake Winnipeg and Lake of the Woods. Rivers stretching west suggest the hope of a Northwest passage. Quebec, Montreal, and Toronto are marked on this map but Ottawa was not founded until the early 1800s. Good to very good condition with a few spots mostly in the margins, and rough paper edges. Measures approx. 9.25 x 13.5 inches to the neatline.
