Antique survey chart of Port Townsend Bay in Washington, long before it was the city that it is today. There appear to be few buildings, although a US Customs House is noted near Point Hudson. Hand-colored by a local professional artist/colorist. This chart shows soundings with an occasional note about the character of the soil underwater (rocky, hard, soft, or sticky). Very good overall antique condition with a few minor spots. Folds as issued. Measures approx. 15.5"h x 10.75" w to the neatline.
