Maker: Ballou's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion.
Antique black and white print engraving showing two views of Amherst College, published in Ballou's Pictorial circa 1853. The upper image shows the "New Library" which is now known as Morgan Hall and was built in 1853. The lower image shows a view of the "Colleges and Observatory" including a horse-drawn buggy. The surrounding text looks to be historical about some judges in Boston in the 1660s. Good to very good antique condition. The images are in very good shape but the paper edges have some spotting and wrinkling. Approx. 14 x 9 inches
