1942
Maker: D. Bell
Vintage reproduction print of Harvard University as drawn by D. Bell. This reproduction was copyright 1942 but the original is in the Harvard Art Museum's collection and was drawn c.1808-1809. Caleb Gannett (1745-1818), was the Harvard College Steward from 1779 to 1818. This image shows Harvard Yard with University buildings. Figures in the foreground are walking, riding horses or carriages, and even driving an ox-drawn cart. Very good condition, framed. The framing does not appear to be archival and the print should be reframed, therefore if it is purchased online, it will be shipped unframed. It may be attached to a board- please contact us if you are interested and wish to know for sure. The image measures approx.13.25 x 24 inches to the neatline, not including the title. Please forgive the small amounts of glare on the glass in the photos.
