1874
Maker: Beers.
Antique hand-colored map of the Town of Salisbury, Connecticut, from F.W. Beers' County Atlas of Litchfield, 1874, including the village of Lakeville and many other villages of the time delineated by color, showing major roads, railroads, property owners, schools, churches, cemeteries, businesses, rivers, lakes, iron deposits and marble quarries. Fair antique condition with overall toning, edge tears that have been archivally repaired, and small bits of paper loss along edges. There is non-archival tape on the back of two sides that has caused the paper to darken in those areas. If this bothers you, you could consider framing it with a mat covering the decorative border and adding a title (similar to a brass plaque) on the mat. Was $165, now $85 priced as-is. Measures approx. 14 x 12 inches to the neatline (border).
