Antique harbor chart showing New Haven, Connecticut, by the US Coast Survey (USCS) published in 1846. Shows New Haven, Fair Haven, West Haven, and more. Includes harbor navigation information and coastal information. This chart has hand-drawn concentric circles radiating out from the New Haven Lighthouse (Five Mile Point Light) in half mile increments. A year after this chart was published, the old wooden New Haven Lighthouse was replaced with the Five Mile Point Lighthouse that is still there today. Sailing directions on the right side. Good restored condition with some signs of age including repaired cracks and tears, and some mild stains. Approx. 17 x 14 to the neatline.
