Maker: Reproduction.
High-quality hand-printed and hand colored reproduction of an antique print of a grapevine of white grapes or Chasselas dore. From "TRAITE DES ARBRES FRUITIERS" published 1768. This is a wine grape variety grown mainly in Switzerland, France, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, New Zealand and Chile. Chasselas is mostly vinified to be a full, dry and fruity white wine. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. It is then hand colored. Page measures approximately 19.5" x 13.75" For other reproductions made in this method, please see the left side bar category "Digitally Engraved Specialty Reproductions".
