High-quality hand-printed and hand-colored reproduction of an antique map of Italy 1626 by John Speed. City views decorate the top, while images of people from different areas of the country line the sides. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. The map is then hand colored. This map consists of two separate sheets. Each sheet is approx. 34.5 x 22.75 inches to the paper edge. Sold as a set.
