Antique map of Southern Africa, engraved for Malham's Naval Gazetteer, published by Spotswood and Nancrede, 1796. Shows some kingdoms and other local cultures, with information about the coast including bits of rivers. Much of the middle of the African continent hadn't been thoroughly explored and mapped by Europeans at this time. Very good condition with slight water stains at lower center and small holes in right margin. Folds as issued. Measures approx. 7.25 x 9 inches to the neatline.
