Antique map of part of Africa (Ethiopia) showing the Kingdom of Prester John, from the Mercator Minor Atlas, 1628. Much of the middle of the African continent hadn't been thoroughly explored and mapped by Europeans at this time, so a great deal of the information on this map was fabricated. Good overall antique condition- some staining at paper edges and unusual coloring. Measures approx. 5.25 x 7.5 inches to the neatline.
