Genuine Antique Map

1606 circa

Maker: Robert Barker / Geneva Bible

Antique Map of The Figure of the Tabernacle erected and of the Tents pitched round about it. From a Geneva Bible, c. 1606. We were unable to find information about this exact page- a similar image was published in a 1612 Geneva bible but the text is different. A previous owner or seller noted in pencil at the bottom Robert Barker 1606, referring to the Geneva Bible published by Robert Barker in 1606. The Tabernacle (or "Tent of Meeting") was a portable, sacred, dwelling place built by the Israelites in the wilderness based on divine instructions to Moses. Very good antique condition with some small spots. The illustration measures approx. 3.75 x 2.25 inches to the neatline. On a larger page with text. Matted. Total size with mat is 9.25 x 7.25 inches.
