Maker: Bonne and Desmarest.

Antique map of the Eastern Hemisphere from the Atlas Encyclopedique by Bonne and Desmarest, 1787. This map reflects new information from Cook's voyages, although there are still some unknowns, including the fact that Tasmania is not connected to Australia. The compass rose in the lower left was cut out at some point and the paper filled in. Fair to good condition with toning, some spots and stains. Measures approx. 9 x 13 inches to the neatline.
